✨ About the speakers ✨
Dr David Wechsler (MB,BS FRANZCO) trained at Sydney Eye Hospital, and then underwent further training specifically in Glaucoma at Manchester Royal Eye Hospital in the UK. He has been working in both public and private practice since 2007, and is the Director of Burwood Eye Clinic in Sydney. He is involved in registrar teaching and training, and is an examiner for the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Ophthalmologists. He has experience in managing patients from early stages right up to advanced glaucoma, and has been working with Glaucoma Australia in providing educational activities since 2009. He recently joined the board as a non-executive director.
Dr Neil Sharma (MBBS MMed FRANZCO) trained at Sydney Eye Hospital and underwent subspeciality training in medical retinal diseases at Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Trust in the UK. He commenced as a Staff-Specialist ophthalmologist at Westmead Hospital in 2013. Privately he works at Eye and Retina Specialists in Zetland. He has been involved in registrar teaching, and is a Clinical Senior Lecturer at the University of Sydney and the University of Wollongong.
